Lavender

This is my latest song, just finished.  As you may notice, it is heavily influenced by one of the most underrated bands of the 1990s.  I’ll leave you to figure out who that is.  The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, but it is simply about enjoying a day out with someone who lives in the same world as you and noticing that others don’t notice what you notice.

Jason’s Advice

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Jason’s Advice is a sort of tribute to a band who released one of the best albums of the 2000s in my opinion.  I will leave music nerds to figure out who this band is.  It was written during the summer of 2016 when so many depressing things were going on in the world, the only option seemed to be to cut oneself off from reality and follow Jason’s Advice.

The Hill

‘The Hill’ is a song that I wrote in the summer of 2016 during a trip to Bulgaria and I recorded it a couple of days after getting back.  It is a song about not despairing about the fact that you are trapped in a body that you didn’t choose to exist in.  The hill could be interpreted as a place where you feel at one with yourself and embrace the magic of existence. Despite this, the listener could interpret the song in any way they choose to.

My Songs

Last year I made a few songs at Videsse.  There are now almost enough to complete what I suppose would be described as an ‘album’.  The songs have a low-fi home-made feel to them, probably because that’s what they are. I’ve also made some cover art to go with them and I will be posting the lyrics to some of the songs too as time goes by.
